This policy explains how TimeMagic uses cookies and similar technologies to provide, secure, and improve our services, and how you can manage your preferences.

1. What are cookies?
Cookies are small text files stored on your device to remember preferences, keep you signed in, and help us understand how the site is used. We also rely on similar technologies (such as local storage) for the same purposes.
2. Categories we use
- Strictly necessary: required for security, authentication, load balancing, and remembering your cookie choices. These cannot be disabled because the site will not work correctly without them.
- Preferences: remember settings like theme and language. These are optional and are stored only if you enable them.
- Analytics (non-essential): help us measure performance and improve usability. They are off by default and load only after you provide consent.
- Marketing (non-essential): used for experiments or campaigns. We currently do not deploy marketing cookies on the marketing site and will request explicit consent before doing so.
3. Consent and preference management
- Non-essential cookies (analytics or marketing) are off by default and will only load after you accept them.
- You can change or withdraw consent at any time from in-app settings when prompted; we honor the most recent choice and refresh your preferences at least every 12 months.
- When consent is given, we store a record (cookie_preferences) noting the categories you approved, the time of consent, and a pseudonymous identifier for compliance logging.
4. Managing cookies via your browser
- You can block or delete cookies through your browser settings. Essential cookies are required for sign-in and secure operation.
- Some browsers let you disable third-party cookies or enable “Do Not Track.” We respect those signals where supported by our vendors.
- If you clear your cookies, you may need to reapply your consent choices.
5. Changes and contact
We update this policy when we add or change cookies. If you have questions, contact timelog@purple-magic.com. We will post the updated effective date above and, where appropriate, show an in-product notice.
